FOUR MEN, FOUR WOMEN NAMED TO All-Citrus Conference Teams

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — Four members of the Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team have been named to the All-Citrus Conference teams.
The Titans, who finished the regular season 21-8 and 13-5 in the conference, had three players make the first team and one made the second team.
Sophomores Ashleigh Battle, E’Zaria Adams and freshman Jalei O’Neal were all named to the first team while Jazelle Young was named to the second team.
Adams made the all-conference team for the second straight season after making the second team in her freshman season. The sophomore guard from West Palm Beach averaged 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this season for the Titans.

Battle finished the regular season strong, scoring at least 11 points in six of the final seven games heading into the tournament. The point guard from Sunrise, Florida averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game this year running the point for the Titans.
O’Neal made the first team as a freshman as the forward from Orlando started 25 games averaging 10.6 points and 5.1 rebounds.
Young was named to the second team as the freshman forward from Chicago averaged seven points and 6.8 rebounds in 23 games this season.
Eastern Florida State College has punched their ticket to the FCSAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament beginning Wednesday at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
Four Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball players were named to the All-Citrus Conference team and released on Friday.

The Titans, who finished the season 23-6 overall and 12-4 in the conference, had three players make the first team and one made the second team.
Emondrek Erkins-Ford, Corey Caulker and Fredy-Salam Sylla all made the first team while Felipe Patino was named to the second team.
Erkins-Ford had a big second season for the Titans as the sophomore finished with five double-doubles. The Chicago, Illinois forward averaged 15.6 points and 6.7 rebounds this season.
Caulker finished the season strong, scoring at least 12 points in each of the final seven games and averaged 17.5 points in those seven games. For the season the Sterling, Virginia sophomore guard averaged 13.2 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds.
Sylla made the first team after the freshman averaged 13.5 points, 7.1 rebounds in 27 games this season. The forward from Paris, France scored in double figures in 12 of the final 13 games this season and had five double-doubles.
Patino was named to the second team after hitting 47.9 percent of his 3-pointers and averaging 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
