BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – U.S. District Judge Carlos Mendoza sentenced 37-years-old Theron Charles Lord from Orlando to 26 years in Federal Prison for enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity and production of child sexual abuse materials

Authorities say Theron Lord pleaded guilty.

Rockledge Investigator Alex Blake worked relentlessly for months on the case. Lord was initially arrested by Rockledge Police Department in 2022 and has been jailed since that time. In 2023, The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) became involved due to the severity of the crimes and charged Lord federally.

As stated by Department of Homeland Security, Theron Lord and a 15-year-old child victim met online and began messaging on social media platforms. The messages quickly became sexual.

Though from Orlando, Theron Lord drove to Rockledge to meet the victim and engaged in sexual abuse. Theron Lord and the victim met in person at least six times.

Lord sexually abused the victim at each meeting and recorded videos of the sexual abuse.

“This predator repeatedly exploited the innocence of a child and demonstrated a complete disregard for the well-being of others,” said Homeland Security Investigations Orlando Assistant Special Agent in Charge David Pezzutti.

This is a stark reminder of the dangers children face online, said Christopher Crawford. “Parents/guardians, be on the lookout for suspicious activity and be safety conscious. Predators like Theron Lord have direct access to our children via social media and other online platforms. Parents/guardians can never be too cautious.

“Thank you to our federal partners for recognizing the need for strong enforcement, and consequences, for Lord’s conduct,” said Christopher Crawford, Chief of Police. “Thank you, Investigator Blake, for successfully removing a predator from our streets!”
