BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA — The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has soared to new heights, earning the top spot in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards for “Best of the Best” Things to Do in the United States.
The prestigious annual awards are based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings submitted by travelers over a 12-month period.
With more than 20,000 five-star reviews, the Kennedy Space Center outshone some of the country’s most iconic destinations, including New York’s Empire State Building and San Francisco’s Alcatraz Island.
Beyond leading the national list, the Kennedy Space Center also ranked third globally, behind the No. 1 Eiffel Tower in Paris and the No. 2 Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona.
“This is a tremendous honor for our community,” said a Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex spokesperson. “To have a world-class experience like this in our own backyard is something the entire Space Coast can be proud of.”
The Kennedy Space Center’s hands-on exhibits, immersive spaceflight experiences, and historic spacecraft displays continue to captivate visitors from around the globe, offering a unique glimpse into the past, present, and future of space exploration.
Florida had a strong showing overall in the 2025 rankings, with three attractions in the top ten:
■ Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex – Merritt Island, FL
■ Empire State Building – New York, NY
■ Sun Studio – Memphis, TN
■ Central Park – New York, NY
■ Stetson Mansion – DeLand, FL
■ John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park – Key Largo, FL
■ Brooklyn Bridge – New York, NY
■ National Museum of World War II Aviation – Colorado Springs, CO
■ The Metropolitan Museum of Art – New York, NY
■ Alcatraz Island – San Francisco, CA
