Sen. Rick Scott Endorses Rep. Byron Donalds’ for Florida Gubernatorial Bid

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., has officially endorsed Rep. Byron Donalds in his campaign for governor of Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., has officially endorsed Rep. Byron Donalds in his campaign for governor of Florida.

Scott, who served as Florida’s governor from 2011 to 2019 before being elected to the Senate, expressed strong support for Donalds’ conservative leadership and alignment with former President Donald Trump.

“I am proud to stand with President Trump and endorse Byron Donalds for Governor of Florida,” Scott said in a statement. “Byron is a principled conservative who will lead with courage and conviction and fight on behalf of every Floridian.”

Scott highlighted their previous work together on legislation aimed at reducing the cost of flood insurance and aiding recovery efforts after hurricanes. He also praised Donalds for playing a key role during Scott’s tenure as governor in delivering billions in tax relief to Florida families.
