Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Well it’s safe to say that we know who probably won’t be having a Happy New Year…Joshua Baker…as there’s a good chance he will be spending it at the Lodge.
On Monday, deputies responded to a residence on East Railroad Ave in Cocoa for a disturbance involving a firearm. Ultimately, Agents were called out and a search warrant was written due to information obtained regarding the disturbance.
While they searched the residence and property, they found just a few things such as approximately 14.2g of cocaine base, 9.2g of cocaine powder, 7.3g of methamphetamine, 131 rounds of .22 ammunition…and a partridge in a pear tree (ok we’re joking about the last one).
Given that Baker is a convicted felon, possessing ammunition, along with all those other “things” of course is illegal so Baker took the ride down to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge where he will likely ring in the New Year with his new cellmates.
Maybe while they’re in there they can come up with some good New Year’s resolutions…like you know not breaking the law.
Great job by our Deputies and Agents with another job well done. Remember everyone, don’t break the law, but if you must, don’t break the law in Brevard County because if you do we’re gonna make sure you end up behind bars!!
