World’s Largest Toy Drive Sets Two Records, Distributes 400,000 Gifts Nationwide

A nationwide holiday toy drive that included Brevard County resident Ralph S. Perrone Jr., above right, has set two world records, organizers announced, marking the largest toy distribution effort ever conducted. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — A nationwide holiday toy drive that included Brevard County resident Ralph S. Perrone Jr. has set two world records, organizers announced, marking the largest toy distribution effort ever conducted.

During a single continuous 24-hour period, from 3:42 p.m. to 3:42 p.m., the team distributed more than 119,000 toys, setting a record for the most toys given away in one day.

A second record was set when totals from all tour stops were combined, resulting in an estimated 400,000 toys distributed to children across the United States.

The multi-city tour spanned more than two weeks and included stops in Dallas, Tampa, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Boston, New Jersey, New York, Miami, and Virginia.

Distributions were held at major venues, including stadiums, arenas, and large public spaces, where thousands of families gathered at each stop.

Perrone, CEO of MiCard and Perrone Realty, traveled more than 13,000 miles during the tour, which ran from December 6 through December 24. He said the experience highlighted the scale of what coordinated community efforts can achieve.

For Perrone, the experience was both exhausting and unforgettable. Over the course of the mission, he traveled more than 13,000 miles, departing on December 6 and returning home late on December 24, after more than two weeks of nonstop flights, events, and distributions.

“Going city to city like that — seeing the scale, the smiles, the impact — it’s one of the most intense and meaningful things I’ve ever done,” Perrone said. “You lose your voice, you lose sleep, but you gain something far greater. You see what’s possible when people come together with purpose.”

Perrone’s involvement placed Brevard County on a national stage, highlighting the region’s leadership not only in business and technology but also in philanthropy and community action.

The toy drive also drew support from celebrities, professional athletes, and volunteers, including current and former NFL and WNBA players and other public figures, who helped distribute gifts directly to children.

Organizers said planning is already underway to expand the effort next year, aiming to reach even more families nationwide.
