Joshua Hunt of Titusville Jailed on No-Bond After Armed Incident at Cocoa Beach Store

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — An armed disturbance inside a Cocoa Beach convenience store led to the arrest of a Titusville man now facing felony charges and a no-bond hold at the Brevard County Jail.
According to Cocoa Beach Police, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:03 p.m. on January 6, to the 7-Eleven located at 190 E. Cocoa Beach Causeway after reports of an armed altercation inside the store.
Investigators say the suspect entered the business and became involved in a physical confrontation with a victim. During the incident, the suspect allegedly produced a knife and chased the victim through the store before fleeing the area.
The suspect was later identified as Joshua Hunt, 48, of Titusville.
Police determined Hunt was on probation at the time of the incident and also had an active Brevard County warrant for Violation of Probation.
On January 7, Cocoa Beach detectives obtained an arrest warrant in connection with the convenience store incident.
The following day, January 8, at about 1:30 p.m., officers located Hunt near the intersection of North Banana River Boulevard and West Columbia Lane in Cocoa Beach. He was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Hunt was transported to the Brevard County Jail, where he is being held on a no-bond status. He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Felony Violation of Probation.
