Heavy Police Presence After Shooting in Port St. John

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that unfolded Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Curtis Boulevard and Carlowe Avenue in Port St. John.
Deputies were called to the area shortly after the incident was reported and quickly located the suspected shooter, taking the individual into custody without further incident, according to officials.
Investigators emphasized that the shooting appears to be an isolated event, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
