two men and one woman abandoned the car and fled the scene on foot

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for three perps who fled on foot after a high-speed chase ended in a crash Tuesday night in Cocoa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident began on northbound Interstate 95 when Troopers attempted to pull over a Dodge Charger suspected of participating in a street race.
Instead of stopping, the Charger accelerated and exited the highway at State Road 520. Moments later, the fleeing vehicle collided with a Mercury Milan just east of Cox Road.
At least two Brevard County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were also damaged at the crash site, though it remains unclear how they were involved in the incident.
Following the crash, the occupants of the Charger — identified as two men and one woman — abandoned the car and fled the scene on foot. As of Wednesday morning, they remain at large.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators are processing the Charger for evidence in hopes of identifying the suspects.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at *347 or reach out to Crimeline anonymously at 800-423-TIPS.
