BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral is celebrating one of its own after Bruce Cameron, Director of Cruise Operations, was named president of the Port Canaveral chapter of the Propeller Club — the first Port employee ever to hold the position.
Cameron addressed club members during his inaugural meeting earlier today, reflecting on the decades-long career that brought him to the leadership role. He spoke about milestones in his work within the cruise and maritime sectors and the opportunities he sees ahead for the organization.
The Propeller Club is dedicated to promoting the maritime industry and highlighting its essential place in the global economy.

As president, Cameron outlined a vision focused on strengthening industry partnerships, supporting workforce development, and continuing outreach that educates the community about the economic impact of ports and maritime trade.
Port officials congratulated Cameron on the achievement, calling it both a personal milestone and a proud moment for the organization.
His leadership, they said, represents the Port’s growing role in national maritime conversations and reinforces the importance of Port Canaveral’s contributions to global commerce.
