FDLE, Satellite Beach Police Arrest Man After Months-Long Child Exploitation Investigation

FDLE Agents executed a search warrant that revealed more than 4,000 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of minors.
BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA — A Satellite Beach man is facing nearly 400 felony charges after a months-long investigation uncovered thousands of digital files depicting the sexual abuse of children, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
FDLE agents arrested 38-year-old Luke William Martineac on December 18, 2025. He has been charged with 20 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and 372 counts of promoting the sexual performance of a child, reflecting the scope of evidence allegedly uncovered during the investigation.
Authorities said the case originated on August 25, 2025, when FDLE agents detected an individual actively sharing and downloading illicit digital content involving children through online platforms.
Investigators traced the activity to a residence in Satellite Beach and ultimately identified Martineac as the user associated with the downloads.
On October 15, 2025, agents executed a search warrant at the home, seizing several electronic devices. A subsequent forensic examination revealed more than 4,000 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of minors.
Investigators reported that some of the victims portrayed in the material appeared to be as young as five years old.
The Satellite Beach Police Department assisted with the arrest, and Martineac was transported to the Brevard County Jail for booking and processing.
The State Attorney’s Office is now prosecuting the case for Florida’s 18th Judicial Circuit. Officials indicated the investigation remains ongoing, and no further information has been released at this time.
Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of reporting suspected child exploitation and encourage the public to contact law enforcement if they encounter illegal or concerning online activity.
