Dallas Scott Weed, 28, arrested for DUI Manslaughter

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A man died from his injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while walking within the crosswalk at the intersection of Columbia Boulevard (State Road 405) and Windover Trail at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Friday, March 28.
The preliminary investigation revealed an adult male pedestrian was crossing the roadway northbound to return to his employment position at Walmart, when he was struck by a white 2017 Dodge Super Duty work truck, driven by Dallas Scott Weed, 28, of Titusville, who was driving westbound on Columbia Boulevard.
Weed remained at the scene, displayed signs of intoxication, and was subsequently arrested by Titusville Police and charged with DUI Manslaughter.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 4:01 p.m.
Dallas Scott Weed was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held on a $15,000 bond.
The crash remains an ongoing Titusville Police Department traffic crash investigation and details will be released by investigators upon its conclusion.
